Aspire and Inspire - Inspirational living

Aspire and Inspire - Books read and 'Wish List'

Here is a list of books I have read :)

- Of course I have read all of the Harry Potter Novels, I'm a children's nurse ;)

The Dalai Lama is an inspiration and his books gentle, with simple rules for existing peacefully. The Art of Happiness - basically everyone wants to be loved and liked. Reflecting on your day, what did you do well, what went badly? Be happy for the things you do well and work out how to approach a bad situation better in future. Simple, be less critical of yourself and the world around you :)

I have putLindy's book here, because I had the pleasure of working with her a Great Ormond Street. It's an excellent book for nurses learning about neuro-surgery, a good foundation. Lindy is an inspiration, gentle and graceful. She can walk onto a chaotic ward and as if speading fairy dust, calms the crowds. She is an excellent team leader and certainly knows how to bring the best out in anyone. :)

I found it difficult to read this book and the lessons are amazing. If you can listen to the audios or get to one of Hales seminars I feel sure it is easier to grasp. I have his audios on my ipod and listen to him most days/ nights. He promotes peacefulness by letting go of stresses and looking for good in any situation, even if its just a speck, little specks grow, as will your positive feelings and inner peace :)

I also have Louise's thought for the day affirmation cards. It's interesting to see how feelings can emerge as medical conditions and signs of discontent.

I like this book a lot. Nice tasks to do and ways of seeing how you sparkle :)

All three excellent books for enabling children, and young people to deal with death and loss. I have often used the huge bag of worries to support chilsdren with chronic health problems. The frog ballet is so cute, a tear jerker and waterbugs, sweet :)

Ilike these books and the thing that strikes me is, Donald Trump appears to have long lasting and close/ loyal team members, he even works with his children - now they were never in the news abusing and exploiting their position. I enjoyed listening to his problem solving approach and demonstrates the merit of good mentorship and support. A strong leader grows the team around him and Donald wants his team to be strang :)

As for de - tox, I enjoy it and have been known to do it was months on end. Since I started doing it, I rarely eat chocolate. I have found these books to be very useful. At this stage, I have devised my own rendition of the diets, if I am excluding naughties, I still want mushrooms, bananas, etc. Jason makes some really tasty juicing recipes, the blood warmer is fab - carrots beetroot, etc, his advocado and lime is yummy too. Only prob is I cant eat pineapple, allergic! Really good soup recipes too. The salads mmmmm  :)

I did this, who knows if it worked? It recommends goodvisualisations, say nice things to yourself when you look in a mirror. I like that :)

Not very keen on this book, it excludes too much for my liking.

This was my intro to positive thinking courtesy of the 'Amways'. I learnt a great deal from Bob and Kay, Angelo and Claudia, Dan Recht, they were insightful and fantastically supportive. The book - cool :)

Basics of coaching and an easy read, lots of exercises a good tool for working alone and new coaches looking for inspiration.

Easy read :)

I have met Chris at a breakthrough to success weekend in London. I went on stage with him and did a values elicitation - both thought provoking and life changing. His book is the weekend seminar and a good read.

This is a favourite of mine, it also got me 'into' reading about successful people. It is stimulating and creativity provoking. I would wake up in the middle of the night to write a to do list. Amazing :)

Not keen on this one  An easy read, nice approach, Mable does teleseminars and the message is peacefulness, sharing positivity, choosing to be accepting with situations.

I found this book  sad. Eileen sees good in evertything she has been through and she has lived a tough life with lots of big losses. She is the leader at Findhorn, in the Highlands. This book was recommended to me.

Iwasn't very impressed or inspired by this book. A friend had asked me to read it with her to be a buddy in carrying out the objectives. I found it strange as it was written as if every aspect of ones life is in need of a revamp, as if everyone has the same set of problems. Whereas, I believe and have found, that we all have strengths. It was bored with it very quickly.

Brandon has been on an interesting journey. Maybe it's useful to look her up on utube and to find a local  practitioner to discuss. I didn't find the cd's useful (sorry)

Waiting on the bookshelf :)
